My mother's older sister died last weekend. I didn't know her, I wasn't close to her or anything, so I suppose I'm not as affected as my sisters are. Mom will be flying to the Philippines tomorrow morning for the funeral.

Dad has been in Abu Dhabi, United Arab of Emirates, for the last few months. He'll be there until November or December at least. Unless his contract gets re upped in which case he could be there longer.

Kelly has four more months in the Air Force and then she's finally out. She's counting down the days.

Denise is looking forward to brother in law flying out to stay two weeks with her in South Korea. She's also got four more months there until she gets transferred to England.

Tried to do something nice for my mom tonight. Figured she wouldn't want to come home from church and cook, so with the last of my money I went out and bought some fried chicken for her. She came home, and was pissy about it, and its all, "its your chicken you can eat it, I'll cook my own food." and other passive aggressive shit. Usually I try to understand where she's coming from. She and I are so different in personalities that I try to understand her so that I'm not so angry at her all the time, but its hard when she pulls shit like this. Makes me want to smack her or something. I don't know. Whatever. If she didn t want the chicken all she had to say was no thanks, I don't feel like chicken tonight.

I don't know when the last time I posted was, but it had to have been a while ago I suppose.

Went out to dinner with some friends a few weeks ago. It was really good to just sit and eat and talk with them. It got me thinking that I should have a bbq birthday party in March when I turn 31. Get all my friends together and just hang out.

Christmas was pretty quiet around the house this year. Dad had just left a few weeks earlier to go to UAE, Kelly couldn't afford to come home, and Denise had already used up her vacation to come out in August for the baby monster's birthday in Disneyland.

After Christmas, the kid and I drove up to Vallejo to visit with family. We stayed for three days. Went to Six Flags Magic Kingdom (formerly known as Marine World), hung out around the house, and went and saw the Hobbit. I'm not too sure the kid enjoyed it all that much, though she did recognize the eagles and the "that boy with the mail" (Frodo). I liked it enough that I finally picked up the book that's been in the apartment office at work, and read it that weekend while I was at work.

The baby monster has also recently joined the Girl Scouts. She looks so cute in her little uniform and sash. Its also the start of cookie season, so she's been trying to sell cookies to everyone she knows. Apparently her minimum goal is to sell 150 boxes! OMG, that just seems like a lot. Lol, we've reached 31 boxes so far.
