Posted for my own reference and memory. However, if you can help, that would be great too.

I have an HP A6220N pc with an Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family video driver card thing.

My computer insists that it is up to date, however every time I install a Windows update, my computer crashes right after start up and says that my video card needs to be updated.

When I visit the intel website to get the latest update they say :

Product DetectedIntel® G33/G31
Current Driver Installed7.15.10.1666

A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver Update Utility is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact yourcomputer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer.
